The Awabi Suite ~ The Windsor Room ~ Old Saybrook ~ Paris
The Garden Room
Double occupancy £90 - £105 Family Suite £120 - £150
Single occupancy from £60 |
| The Awabi Suite is a self-contained unit consisting of a double room, bathroom and lounge. The lounge contains a kitchenette and double sofa bed enabling the suite to be used for families.
The décor is chinoiserie though we have freely mixed the Chinese and Japanese styles to give the fullest flavour of the mysterious and romantic Orient that includes both these countries. We hope that you will experience the romance and charm of the East as well as the associated peace and tranquility when you stay in the Awabi Suite. |
| The Windsor Room has all the elegance befitting a room containing a magnificent 4-Poster bed. While your nostalgic and romantic senses are stimulated, 21st Century comforts are guaranteed with our modern, top-of-the-range mattresses and the equally elegant bathroom, containing bath, separate shower cubicle, sink and w.c. A single mattress can be positioned in the room, allowing small-family accommodation. Of course, as with all our rooms, there is T.V., CD player and radio, toiletries, bathrobes, and beverage-making facilities.
|
| Old Saybrook is a small town in Connecticut, USA and was the home town of the late and great Katherine Hepburn. It has fond memories for us from our visit there and our room is an eclectic reflection of Colonial New England and its English influences. Themes of the sea echo throughout, whether it is the Eastern Seaboard of the USA, or Whitstable itself.
This room is light, sunny and exceptionally spacious, despite its King size 'sleigh bed', and is ideal for our Breakfast Room Service as well as being large enough to adapt for a family room.
|
| Paris: Behind your own "front door" is this suite of a large and sunny bathroom and a pretty double bedroom containing original features of wooden floors, Victorian fireplace, wardrobe and all our usual beverage-making facilities, T.V / video, CD / radio and magazines. The bathroom reflects the French seaside town of Le Touquet, known as "Paris Plage" which roughly translates as Paris on the Beach but echoes our own Whitstable seaside feel. The bedroom is decorated in lavender and white and the bed has a brass headboard with muslin coronet canopy above.
|
| The Garden Room Our ground floor room has its own private entrance from the garden onto its own verandah. Guests using this room have first choice of the gazebo for their al fresco breakfast in summer, or for an evening sundowner as this corner of the garden gets the last rays of the summer sun. The bedroom has a rich black and white decor with a Super King bed and a bathroom en suite and is ideal for those who like to feel close to outside living.
